Baker’s “Vessel” scores at Dallas premiere

Clark Baker on the set of Vessel, his 2012 sci-fi short film.

Vessel debuted on the big screen at the Dallas Angelika on Saturday, July 14th.

The 14-minute science fiction short film has garnered the attention of Hollywood studios.

Hundreds of Clark Baker's invited family and friends turned out last Saturday evening at the Angelika for the premiere of his short film, Vessel.

It did not disappoint on the big screen.

The cinematography, acting, sound and special effects were impressive.

Clark welcomed and thanked the crowd and introduced a montage of sci-fi trailers that he says impacted his early years and were the basis for his love of this genre.

Most of the crowd had seen Vessel online, but the big screen offering was certainly the venue to give this sci-fi short its do justice.

Evidently the buzz has reached Hollywood studios.

Word is they've taken note of Vessel with at least one major meeting is scheduled for next week.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving young film maker.

Clark, Lake Highlands is very proud of you!
