Officers respond to an armed bank robbery in LH
LH Today caught up with Dallas Police Sergeant Cansler, who was on the scene as a first responder.
“At approximately 12:48 p.m. this afternoon, a black male entered the bank and inquired about applying for a loan," said Sgt. Cansler.
"When the bank employee turned to retrieve the necessary paperwork, the perpetrator pulled a gun and demanded cash.”
“An undetermined amount of money was taken, and all evidence is being gathered at this point in time.”
A sign on the door of the bank now reads, “First National Bank is closed due to an emergency. This office will reopen as soon as possible. Our nearest location is Garland.”
Bank officials declined to comment.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'10, weighing an estimated 170 lbs.
LH Today will continue to monitor developments in the case. Stay tuned.
