What people originally thought was no more than a teenage prank has turned into something all together different.

Dating as far back as 2005, one area of Lake Highlands has been plagued with unwelcome visits by a night time flasher.

The Lake Ridge Estates neighborhood being affected is bounded by Audelia, Walnut Hill, Ferndale and McCree Road.

Based on recent events, one section of homes inside this area has neighbors banded together in an effort to get some answers.

Joan Quiett, incoming president for the Lake Ridge Estates North Neighborhood Association, visited with LH Today about incidents involving what now seems to be a serial flasher.

"I spoke with Senior Corporal Elena Perez with the Dallas Police just today," says Quiett.

"We are really trying to get some answers about where the police stand in their investigation of these issues."

The issues Quiett is referring to involve a nude, white male appearing in the backyards of her Edgecliff Circle neighbors - on what is quickly becoming a more regular basis.

"10:15 p.m. is the earliest this prowler has ever made an appearance," she says. "His average tends to range between midnight and 2:00 a.m."

Dating as far back as 2007, with incidents continuing into 2008, the flasher appears in backyards completely nude on most occasions.

"He has been known to wear sweat pants," says Louise Hughes, a neighbor who has unfortunately witnessed this flasher in her own yard.

"But for the most part it's just a ski mask and nothing else," she says.

With dates of the most recent incidents ranging from April of this year up through last Wednesday, September 30th, Hughes explains that the flasher often makes regular appearances, sometime in clusters.

He's then been known to disappear for months at a time.

"During some of the quiet months, he's got us thinking that maybe he's left the neighborhood and moved on," she says.

"But just when you let your guard down, he reappears."
