Highlands Cafe Deal of the Week
After nearly 5 years in business, the Highlands Cafe story never gets old.
While Kathy Stewart and Anita Siegers are the Managing Partners, it has taken a virtual brigade of passionate Lake Highlanders to make it all work.
Nearly 20 investors are still active in the partnership today.
That said, the Cafe’s wheels are greased by Kathy and Anita, and they deserve a lot of credit for making it all work.
“Its been a great experience - a labor of love,” says Stewart. “Our entire staff deserves a lot of credit for our success."
"You can’t operate a successful restaurant without a core group of people who have the same dedication and passion as we do," she says.
"Our community was hungry for good food," adds Siegers. "They quite literally stepped up to the plate."
“We are just so grateful to all those people who believed in us and continue to give us their patronage.”
The cafe is a great place to bring your family for an affordable, good meal. The restaurant prides itself on their soup selection, which is made fresh daily.
The Tomato Basil and Chicken Corn Chowder recipes are very popular. The soups are in addition to their full menu of fantastic New American casual food.
While visiting the Cafe is certainly recommended, a new Catering Hotline is now available along with a designated catering menu you can see here.
Available on the catering menu is an assortment of lunch salads, gourmet box lunches and sandwich trays. To place an order on the new Catering Hotline, call 214-341-9661 or email the cafe at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Besides the great food, patrons will often find the work of local artists on display in the cafe, as well.
Currently on display are photographs from Patrick Sinnott and especially cool doodle-art by local high school student, Sarah “Doodle” Campbell.
