Soft Opening scheduled for My Office
LH Today reported just last week on the announcement of this new locally-owned retail establishment coming to the shopping center at Walnut Hill and Audelia.
We recently visited with co-owner David Farris, who together with his partner Tony Doles, owns the retail botique T Hee Greetings & Gifts, as well as My Office.
"We will not have our counters or major equipment in yet," says Farris.
"But there are so many customers who are without a place to ship and mail that we want to try to cover as many of their needs as soon as possible."
"If they’ll forgive us our dust," he continues, "we’ll do our very best to accommodate them."
As of this morning's soft opening, shoppers will be able to:
Pack & ship boxes
Buy stamps & postage
Rent mailboxes
Send & receive faxes
Select from a small sampling of retail products
Sample T Hee's legendary “Crazy Good Customer Service”
Cabinets and counters are being installed early next week, and the copier will follow soon after.
"For the first few days we’ll be working on card tables," says Farris, "but we promise to do our best!"
Customers can look for mailboxes sometime by mid-September, but mail services will be offered beginning tomorrow morning.
For the first few weeks staff will keep all mail in the back room. When the actual mail boxes are installed, My Office will offer 24-hour controlled access to the rented boxes.
"This is obviously a soft opening, but it comes complete with big smiles and promises to be a good time," says Farris.
"We weren't expecting to open this soon, but the demand is definitely there," he continues, "and serving our customers is far more important to us than having everything perfectly in place on Day 1."
We think neighborhood shoppers will agree!
Continue to watch for more retail updates from T Hee Greetings, as work on the expansion of their new Inviting Room continues, as well.
We'll keep LH Today readers posted with all the details.
