LH Today is taking a break this week from our regular Deal of the Week feature to recap the previous eleven deals and remind our readers what the program is all about.

When we began the DOTW program, our intention was to showcase local Lake Highlands businesses, while helping bring attention to the Shop Lake Highlands initiative.

The Lake Highlands Area Improvement Association coined the term Shop Lake Highlands, which became the genesis for our Deal of the Week feature.


We first reported on LHAIA’s Shop Lake Highlands campaign back in June.

At that time Jack White, President of the LHAIA, summed it up best.

"Many of our efforts have been geared toward reaching out to developers and retailers to encourage new development and attract new business to our area," said White.

"In addition to that effort, we wanted to create a campaign to promote our current retailers and restaurants."

"All of us on the board of the LHAIA are passionate about Lake Highlands and are excited about the future of our neighborhood," he said.

"The idea is to capitalize on our community pride and remind people that shopping in LH not only helps our current businesses stay profitable, but it also goes a long way in our ongoing efforts to attract new merchants."

LH Today’s Deal of the Week feature is our way of supporting the LHAIA’s Shop Lake Highlands campaign while also supporting our advertising partners and other Lake Highlands businesses.
