Spring Art Mart & Auction kicks off this weekend
Yes, Earth Day was actually yesterday, but who says you can't keep the party going?
The Spring Art Mart & Auction kicks off tonight with a preview and continues through the weekend.
Beginning at 7:00 p.m., you can take a sneak peek at the art and all the auction items up for grabs.
Then Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon, you'll be able to see work from all the local artists, including photography, pottery, ceramics, jewelry and more.
Benefiting the Bath House Cultural Programs, there's a good mission at work behind the fun.
The Bath House includes a 116-seat theater, three gallery spaces, the White Rock Lake Museum, and several multipurpose spaces.
These spaces are often utilized by some great community partners, including Shakespeare Dallas, the WingSpan Theatre Company and the Dallas Theatre League.
Proceeds from the weekend event will benefit the visual and performing arts programs offered by the Bath House. So it's a win-win for everyone.
"The Spring Art Mart is the ideal place to find a unique creation for those events that will be here before you know it," says Joyce Pollard, board member for the Friends of the Bath House Cultural Center.
"What could be a more thoughtful gift for Mother's Day, graduation, or a wedding than a painting or piece of sculpture?"
The Friends welcome everyone this evening's sneak peek preview at 7:00 p.m., and remember the weekend festivities are free and open to the public, too.
Enjoy the Art Mart and silent auction Saturday, April 24th from 12:00 noon - 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 25th from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The Bath House Cultural Center is located at 521 E. Lawther Drive on White Rock Lake.
