It's the most wonderful time of the year.

While this timeless song lyric rings true, the holidays can also be the most hectic time of the year.

Relatives arriving, party planning, gift shopping – and all with the kids out of school. Calgon, anyone?

Well I just discovered someone who'll do more than try to sell you bubble bath as a cure.

Lake Highlands resident, Aron Northington McDonald, says she knows about the need to sometimes squeeze an extra hour or two out of the day.

(Her role as mom, wife and volunteer certainly speaks to it.)

That's why she recently founded Aron's Errands.

Need help with a task, a chore, an errand? She's got you covered.

"I would love to help folks feel less stressed about getting through their Christmas to-do lists," Aron told me over the weekend.

"I can do holiday grocery shopping, help pick up the gifts on your list, wrap them for you, and even deliver them around town and to the mailbox."

In short, she'll brave the last minute rush this week – so you don't have to!

As a former consultant for Accenture, Aron has experience and skills in time management and organization, and I can personally vouch for her kindness and approachability.

In addition to saving time and helping with general errands such as grocery shopping and dry cleaning runs, Aron can also help with trips to the doctor and check on pets while folks are away.

"I'm not available for full-time house or pet sitting, since I have a young family and need to be at home with them in the morning and evenings," she explained.

"But I would love to check in during the day while people are working or out of town."

"I'm also happy to transport someone anywhere – to the doctor or the store, and I can wait with them, too."

"I really think there's a need out there for older folks who are no longer able to drive and could use help with transportation, grocery shopping, or just a friendly visitor a couple times a week."

She's looking to meet folks where their need is, by saving time and cutting down on the stress of juggling long to-do lists.

"I want people to know they can count on me to get it done for them."

Aron's Errands charges by the hour with a 1-hour minimum; half hour increments thereafter.

Errands outside of 635 are slightly higher, due to gas costs, and Aron is happy to work with people on pricing for longer term needs.
