For Robin, it's hard but rewarding work. "Growing this business is all consuming right now," she says. "Along with my family and friends, my passion is making the best cake balls ever."
Debra and Charlotte certainly agree. "We've all found a good balance," offers Charlotte. For her its balancing the needs of daughters Morgan and Elizabeth with the group's business endeavors.
For Debra, it's the same. "As partners we are equally committed to growing our business," says Debra. "As moms, we also try to maintain a flexibility works for our kids."
That's why when you ask these ladies where to find them on a typical Saturday, you get very similar answers.
"At the Cake Ball Company, of course!" says Robin. "And then cooking and entertaining later at home."
"I'm selling cake balls in the morning, then enjoying friends, family and a little wine later in the day," offers Charlotte.
For Deb, it might be working up a graphic design, then spending time with her daughter, Avery. "Life is really full right now," she says. "Whether I'm working or hanging out with her, there's inspiration in all of it."
You can visit the Cake Ball Company at 10230 E. Northwest Highway. Drop by Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Be sure to visit them online at http://www.cakeballs.com as well. But be warned - the website won't satisfy you like a box of cake balls will!
