For 42 years, Lake Highlands High School students have distinguished themselves in academic, extracurricular, and leadership activities. Many LHHS graduates occupy positions of leadership in business, government, religion and education. Wildcat exes have also contributed significantly to many fields of endeavor including: law, medicine, engineering, finance, military science, the visual and performing arts, and professional athletics. Part of the reason for the tradition of excellence at Lake Highlands High School is the expectation of success shared by the community, parents, faculty members, and students.  Lake Highlands High School boasts 51 National Merit Finalists during the last eight years and was awarded “America’s Best High School” in 2003, 2005 and 2006 by Newsweek Magazine.
