The Lake Highlands Wildcats (4-5, 3-3) take on the Richardson Eagles tonight at Eagle-Mustang stadium.
The 'Cats are desperate for a win after posting a three game losing streak heading into the final district game of the season.
This is a win-or-go-home contest, with the victor advancing to the 2011-'12 state playoffs as the fourth seed out of District 9-5A.
The Wildcats have won the last seven match-ups against the Eagles, including last year's game which ended in favor of Lake Highlands, 17-14.
While Richardson has a new head coach in Brian Chandler, there is a certain familiarity between the squads.
From 2007 to 2010, Chandler worked under Wildcats head coach Scott Smith as the 'Cats assistant head coach and offensive coordinator.
In his first year as head coach of the Eagles, Chandler has put Richardson in a position to qualify for the playoffs for the second year in a row.
He'd like nothing more than to end the Lake Highlands playoff win streak with a W over his old boss tonight.
As usual, we will be broadcasting the game LIVE right HERE on LH Today.
The pregame show begins at 7:10 p.m. with exclusive game day interviews.
Kick-off set for 7:30 p.m.
