The Lake Highlands Wildcats (4-5, 3-3) made the short trip to Forrester Field last Friday night and ran into a buzz saw – the Skyline Raiders.
Just as they've done against every team they've faced this year, Skyline (9-0,6-0) dominated the 'Cats in every phase of the game during their 37-0 win.
The loss puts the 'Cats on a three game skid, with one district game remaining on the schedule against the Richardson Eagles this Friday night.
Richardson and Lake Highlands are tied for fourth place in the district standings, so Friday night's game is do-or-die when it comes to each team's playoff hopes.
"Win or go home," as they say.
In addition to the playoff implications, this week's game between the 'Cats and the Eagles will be of special interest for both head coaches.
Scott Smith leads Lake Highlands, while Brian Chandler is now in charge at Richardson.
This is Chandler's first season as head coach of the Eagles after coaching under Smith at Lake Highlands from 2007 to 2010.
Friday's game will be played at Richardson High School.
Kick-off set for 7:30 p.m.
If you can't make the game, be sure to tune in right LIVE on LH Today, as we bring you all the action from Richardson High School via our streaming Game Day Broadcast.
