While he had been hitting the ball well all game, prior to his game winning hit, Ketchmark was 0-3 at the plate - with all three at bats resulting in outs after deep fly balls to right field.
"When Browder got his homer, it helped me because I knew I just needed to wait for the right pitch," Ketchmark said after the game.
"I just needed to wait for the fastball, which I did."
"We're picking up our game right now," Ketchmark continued. "We're really coming together as a team."
Indeed, they are.
As the fourth place team in District 9-5A, no one expected the 'Cats to advance to the third round of the state playoffs.
