Featured Wildcats
Devonte Sunwenghan
Wildcat Football - WR/RB
Devonte Sunwenghan
In a crucial District 9-5A game against Jesuit, and with Desmond Roland sitting out of the contest, junior Devonte Sunwenghan was asked to shoulder the offensive load for the Wildcats.

Devonte certainly delivered. He touched the ball in over half of the 'Cats offensive plays against Jesuit and accumulated 313 all-purpose yards, including 191 rushing, 122 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

So incredible was Devonte's performance, it earned him the Offensive Player of the Week by the Dallas Morning News.

For the season, Devonte has 1,118 total yards and 14 touchdowns. He is ranked 14th in the area in receiving with 42 catches and 616 yards. His 14 TD's (rushing and receiving) are also good for a 14th area ranking in scoring.

Devonte is looking to play ball at the next level and with performances like the one he had against Jesuit, the scouts should come running. Nice work, Devonte!
Scott Hanks
Wildcat Football - Center
Scott Hanks
Any football purest will tell you the center position is arguably the toughest position to play. It's a tough gig but Scott Hanks has it pretty well mastered. Besides the hand to hand combat, the position requires keen instincts, agility, intelligence and brute strength.

The 3-year letterman has quietly been the anchor of the 'Cats offense for the last two seasons. This year, Scott has the added responsibility of helping protect his young sophomore quarterback, Michael Ketchmark.

Against Jesuit, Scott and the rest of the 'Cats offensive line didn't give up one sac to the Rangers.

Off the field, Scott is ranked 30th in the senior class with 98 GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, LHHS Wranglers.

He plans on studying mechanical engineering at the University of Texas next fall.
