Matalee Reed
Lady 'Cats Volleyball
Matalee Reed
For the past three years, Matalee Reed has been the cornerstone of the Lake Highlands volleyball program. Her performance on the court has been nothing short of phenomenal.

As a freshman, Matalee helped the Lady 'Cats finish third in state and she was recognized as the State of Texas Newcomer of the Year. The accolades continued for Matalee during her sophomore and junior campaigns, as she was selected as an All-American both years playing for the Skyline Juniors, the top team in the state.

Matalee's performance on the court, and in the classroom where she is a top student at LHHS, captured the attention of many universities in the country. Late last spring, Matalee ended her long recruiting process when she committed to play for Pepperdine in California. Congrats to Matalee!
DeVonte Sunwenghan
Wildcat Football
DeVonte Sunwenghan
Coming off a junior season where he amassed 1,529 total yards and 19 touchdowns, big things are expected of DeVonte this year.

He certainly didn't disappoint in the season opener.

As the focal point of the 'Cats offensive attack, DeVonte had 135 total yards and three touchdowns last Friday night, helping propel the 'Cats to a 34-27 win and their consecutive win over the Mesquite Skeeters.

DeVonte hopes to play ball at the collegiate level and is currently being recruited by Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State.
