With the help of over 20 dedicated Wildcat volunteers, the 'Cats hosted the LH Invitational at Eagle/Mustang Stadium on Friday and the boys team took home the title, while the girls finished 6th.
Despite a stiff head wind down the front straightaway, several 'Cats took home gold.
Leading the way for the girls was the future UNT duo of Curry Young & Paige McCutcheson. Curry won the 100M (12:16) and 200M (25.28) while McCutcheson took silver in the 100M with a time of 12.20. McCutcheson then completely blew away the 400M field with a time of 58.25, which was nearly 5 seconds faster than the 2nd place finisher from Wylie.

Junior distance man, Meron Fessahaie, won the 3200M by nearly 30 seconds with a time of 9:46. Juan Sanchez of Plano beat Meron in the 1600M, but he did so by running a 4:21 which is a new meet record. Meron finished 2nd with a time of 4:25.
