The LHHS boys basketball team opened their season against Plano West on Tuesday night, but things didn't get off on the right foot in the 70-47 loss in front of the Lake Highlands home crowd.
Junior Beau Barnes had 15 points for the 'Cats, while James Lonergan pitched in 11 and Travis Hornstein added nine.
Unlike last year, the 'Cats have a number of home games early in the season.
After playing in the Scot Classic at Highland Park High School beginning this Thursday, the Wildcats will host three home games in a row beginning with Mesquite on Tuesday (11/22) followed by North Garland on Saturday (11/26).
The 'Cats will finish their home stand against Rockwall Heath on Tuesday, November 29th.
