Boys golf head coach, Chris Cole, recently released try-out information for both the JV and Varsity golf teams.

The try-outs will be held at Firewheel Golf Course in Garland on August 15th, and if needed, will continue on August 16th. Tee-times begin at 7:30 a.m.

Requirements to try-out:

•Players will need to have their own set of golf clubs and be able to walk 18+ holes; will be two rounds on Monday.
•Have transportation to and from practice as golf is an off campus sport.
•The will to play competitive golf and be looking to play at the collegiate Level.
•Time to come to two morning workouts a week. One 7:00 am workout and one afternoon workout.
•Players trying-out will have to pay the junior fee of $16 to try-out.
•Tryouts will be from the back tees.

To qualify for the team, new players or players from last year’s team that did not shot an 85 or below during the last school year will have to tryout.

To make the JV Team (freshman, soph. or juniors):

•Have a desire to work hard, improve and play high school competitive golf.
•The player must an 85 or below twice this summer during an NTPGA, Texas Legends or AJGA Golf Tournament.
to make the varsity team (seniors)
•Have a desire to work hard, improve and play high school competitive golf.
•The player must shot a 79 twice or below twice this summer during an NTPGA, Texas Legends or AJGA Golf Tournament.
