It was a sea of yellow at the Firewheel Bridges golf course on Tuesday and Wednesday as Jesuit rolled out their army of talented golfers for the District 9-5A golf tournament.
While the Rangers stole the show with their A and B teams finishing 1-2 in the team standings, the 'Cats A and B teams fared well, placing 3rd and 4th place overall. Sophomore Kyle Kennedy was the top individual for the 'Cats, placing fifth overall with a two day total of 154 (77/77).
Of course, Kyle Kennedy and the rest of the Wildcat team were up against not only a very talented Jesuit team, but there was also the matter of one Jordan Spieth who happens to be one of the top amateur golfers in the world.
Speith ended the tournament in first place with a two day total of 136 (65/71). While the 65 on day one was impressive, Spieth could have easily gone lower after having missed at least three birdie attempts.
