LHHS Wrestling wins Keller six-way duals
Nov 15 2011 by Lee Lueder
The Lake Highlands wrestling team has been dominant thus far this season.

Last Saturday, the ‘Cats stormed into Keller High School on Saturday hungry to maintain the momentum they had gained in a decisive 73-6 season opening victory of Wylie. They did just that.

The first dual of the day the ‘Cats fought it out on the center mat with the home team. Keller never stood a chance, as the LH squad won every match handily and took the 75-0 victory. The next dual featured the Wildcats squaring off against Arlington Heights. Heights posed little competition, as the ‘Cats took a 75-3 victory.

Then came the biggest duel of the day against the Lake Highlands' biggest rival, the Berkner Rams.

Going in, Coach Grieder and the rest of the LH squad wanted to send a message to the Rams, who, despite always losing to the ‘Cats, feel they have a strong team this year that can compete for the District Championship.

The ‘Cats quickly put that notion to rest with a dominant 57-9 victory.

Lake Highlands finished the day strong with two solid wins over Rockwall and Flower Mound Marcus.

On Tuesday, in their second home dual of the year, the ‘Cats laid the hammer down on Arlington Martin, 57-10.

The confident Wildcats will head into the Liberty Varsity Duals on Saturday looking for yet another victory.

GO 'CATS!
