It's been tough sledding for the Lady 'Cats V-Ball team so far this season, but the squad is beginning to gel after finding success at the Allen Tournament last weekend.
After a 1-7 start to the season, every win is a big one. At the Allen Tournament, the Lady 'Cats picked up four wins out of the seven matches they played.
Coach Crown knows her team's hard work and dedication will eventually pay off.
"This is a totally different team than last year," Crown said. "With six sophomores and only six varsity returners, everyone is still learning how to play as a team."
"We run a more complicated offense than last year," she continued. "This team is very committed to finding what it takes to be successful with the new system."
"I'm very proud of their play at the Allen Tournament. It's the most drastic turn-around I've ever seen a team accomplish in such a short time. In one week, we went from finishing 30th in the Duncanville Tournament to 8th in Allen. They have incredible drive and are very coachable."
Next up for Coach Crown & company is the Pearland Tournament, which runs from Thursday, August 26th - Sunday, August 29th.
